3P DynaLite Tent

Recently purchased this tent to take my boys on a backpacking trip on the Mogollon Rim. It was light for the size and held up against the torrential downpour and hail that had us taking shelter for 12 hrs! Unfortunately it did develop a rip on the floor even though we had a good clear forest floor and had the foot print down. 5 stars because we stayed safe and dry during the wildest thunderstorm I've ever camped in. Hope it lasts for a few more excursions.

Amazing tent! Survived a hail storm in the black hills, the same storm that dented my pickup. Kept dry too.

Very lightweight, tons of storage pockets all over. Setup was fast and easy.

Slept 2 & 1/2 pretty well, but there definitely wasn’t a tone of extra space.

Some of the best quality I’ve seen on a tent, I’d definitely recommend the brand based on my experience.

Took this tent to the Foothills Trial. It was amazing! It was for my wife and son on their first trip. Very roomy and easy to set up!

Best tent I have purchased

I just purchased this tent since my husband wanted to start coming bikepacking with me and the only other lightweight tent I had was the Nemo Kunia 2P which is more of a colder weather tent, and only has one door so really didn’t work well for spring/summer camping with 2 people.

This is my first tent by NearZero, and I feel it offers good value for the money. There are a few little features that I missed. I wished the fly was able to zip up and down so you can vent at the top and keep the rest zipped, and color coordinating the fly straps to the tent straps so it’s easy to tell top and bottom would also be helpful. But really none of the drawbacks are deal breakers. The quality of the material is good and feels sturdy for a lightweight tent. We’ve used it two nights. The first it was hot enough to not need the fly at all. I appreciate the black mesh that allowed a better view of the stars. There were also a good amount of internal pockets for both of us to stow loose items. The door zippers were easy to use one-handed and didn’t snag.

The second night we stayed near the Pacific coast and the fog came in overnight. The fly was a bit damp in the morning, but I’ve had other tents get much wetter in the same weather, so I’d say the ventilation (when properly staked) is pretty good. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase and look forward to many more nights in this tent.

Search is over. Been looking at all the specs for perfect 3-person tent for motorcycle camping. The 2 person tent I've been using just always felt a little cramped for headroom. I ordered the NearZero because it Hit the mark for a combination a perfect size, packed size and great price against competition. Tent arrived yesterday and did not disappoint. Set up was easy and interior felt huge compared to a two person and pack size of exactly 19 in wide fit perfectly in Givi panniers on motorcycle. I was a little concerned about the length of pack size as the spec sheet list 20 in and 19 inches with compression sack. Panniers are exactly 19 in and tent fits perfectly. The tent poles are 18 and 1/4 in in length when broken down. Thanks NearZero!

One of the best tents I have had and I have gone through many. Extremely easy to set up regardless of wind or rain. Love the 360 degree view and access on both sides. Very roomy for two.

I borrowed a friend's 3-P tent for a trip with some other buddies. It is definitely roomier and worth the weight. It was great for two guys with room for some gear. These tents are great quality and well designed with nice storage pockets and very easy set-up. Highly recommend!

I love this 3p tent. I have had the 2p version for a few years now and it is top notch! Then, about 2 months ago, I took my 4 year old and 2 year old camping and we all crammed into the 2p. It was snug. So, I bought this 3p! When it arrived, I took the kids back out and we were much more comfortable than before. We easily fit. Last weekend I went backpacking with a buddy and the 2 of us shared this tent with room to spare. A third would have fit fine.

I am also trying out the "sun shade" function in the kids playroom as a fort. Super cool!

Very light for its size, packs nicely and holds up in all sorts of weather. Put this tent through wind and rain storms and it held up without any problems. Love it and would recommend.

This is a well designed tent. Owned for over two years now and had it out in a variety of environments. Has held up well as far as durability. The poles are all in one piece and everything being symmetrical makes the late night setups easier. Mini groundhog type stakes with a spare included along with a tent pole repair splice. Seams taped, no need for sealing. Love the stuff sack that makes packing up in the morning simpler. Zippers actually work and don't have the annoying fabic snag. Bought the 3P and it is a palace for two and with the light weight I have a hard time justifying leaving it at home. Customer service was great. Ordered a footprint but was forgotten. Shipped out immediately. Can't go wrong for the price and still recieve a quality product.

We purhased this tent for two us to take on our first long distance backpacking trek. We absolutely loved it. It was a breeze to set up and take down. For just two people, it was good to have the extra space - particularly after the park rangers advised us to keep all of our gear in the tent at night due to "aggressive porcupines" in the area. 10 out of 10!

This company has been absolutely amazing! I ordered my tent, sleeping bag and pad late. The customer service was outstanding and I can not thank them enough for going out of the way to expedite my delivery. The gear itself was solid! Took it for 5 days backpacking the Olympic Coast. Extremely light weight, easy to setup and worked fabulous 👌🏻 From now on this is the only company I will be buying my gear from!

Works great, as expected.
I do wish, like the 2 person version (which I also have), that they used black clips & poles on the foot (vs the head of the tent), just makes everything quicker when setting up the footprint and tent. Yes I know it’s the same width on both ends, so it really doesn’t matter,… but it does on the tent orientation of the doors, zippers, pockets. Be better if it was a no brainer like the 2P version, with black clips & black poles. PS - I’d also suggest some reworking of the two vents on the ends of the tent fly, strap is bent/curved so it closes up and the Velcro tab flips up, so you really don’t get any ventilation benefit. Good idea, just needs better design.

Decided to upgrade to this tent for an upcoming backpacking trip with my partner! I'm a 5'2" small lady, and I normally use a 1p copper spur, but now that I'm camping with a 6'4" companion, I needed something bigger! This tent was great for accommodating both of us, with room for both of our packs inside as well! The 360 mesh is incredible and made for wonderful stargazing. Super easy set up as well. I'm yet to use the rainfly, but I imagine I will soon as I live in the Pacific Northwest where rain is abundant.

I loved that the inside had ample pockets, as well as lots of head room. Sitting upright was no issue. Also the doors on each side were super helpful for avoiding my partner and I needing to step over one another.

I'm very much looking forward to my section J hike of the Pacific Crest Trail with this tent! Amazing purchase.

Just received our 3p tent. Set up for look at how it compares to other tents.

It was easy to set up. Light weight and roomy. We are going on a family trip in a few weeks and this will be coming with us. This is my 3rd purchase and your company doesn’t disappoint

Arrived 2 days early. Easy to put up and very lightweight. I am 6ft tall and just fit inside when I am stretched out so if you are over 6ft it will be a tight fit. Very happy with the purchase.

This is my first backpacking kit ever. Haven’t used it yet. I have a trip planned in a couple months but I have looked at everything and it’s awesome! Thanks for making quality gear that is affordable.

A 3 person backpacking tent that feels like an actual 3 person tent.
Intuitive set up, great storage compartments and built to last. We put this tent through some big weather in the Sawtooths and it performed well. I was even impressed w how warm and toasty it got inside on the cold nights.
Perfect backpacking tent if you need more room and are bringing kids and pets.

Has been used once so far and ready to take it out again!
Easy setup, plenty of room for two! Could easily have brought our two dogs and we all would have been comfortable.

This tent is amazing! So much easier to set up than any tent I've used before. The footprint is worth the buy as well! I like how the poles match to the corners of the tent by color and that they don't run through holes but the tent clips up to the poles. Great design!
