READY-2-GO Bundle

I have never been backpacking and my granddaughter wanted to start. Instead of buying items individually, it was so much easier to go to one place and get everything I needed. I love how everything fits in a specific place and each place is labeled so you know where it goes. It just couldn’t get much easier! I also had enough room for clothes, food and extra water.

So far everything seems to be in good working order. Although my first actual use of the collapsible chair was fine until I was getting ready to put it away, the elastic string broke.

The gear was very well thought out and made of quality materials. Customer service responded in less 10 minutes to my questions. Would highly recommend.

Everything looks great, except the leaking bottle of bug repellent. I have not had a chance to set up or try out everything yet. The organization of the pack is great, and after unboxing the gear, there is room for clothing, stove fuel and food. I can't wait to test it all in the field!

READY-2-GO Bundle

This bundle has everything you need to start backpacking. The organization system is amazing and makes grabbing things super easy instead of digging around in your pack. The gear is lightweight but doesn’t sacrifice quality. The sleep system is comfortable and the pad is till going strong after multiple uses. I keep everything in this pack which makes grab and go efficient and gets me on the trails faster.

this looks great. as a seasoned backpacker a water filter of sonething will be crucial to stay hydrated

I haven’t had a chance to use this in the field yet since it is dead of winter, but the pack came with absolutely everything you’ll need on a back pack hunt. There’s still room to add a few more extra things or take some things out to add more of what you want. Customers service has been great shipping was fast and easy. For the amount of money you save on one of these bundles there’s no way that you can go wrong. The tent sets up easy and goes right back in the back. I set it up in my house as I was nervous for the re pack of all the gear. Had the tent up and back down out away in about ten minutes!

Getting everything from a backpack, a tent, a sleeping bag, a pad and so much more in one purchase has been a huge time saver. I've looked at buying everything separately from other brands but it was way too expensive and there were way too many options. Everything in this bundle is super high-quality and made very well. I found that the tent is just as light but more durable than other big brands tents. Also the whole thing weighing only 17 lbs blows my mind everytime I put the pack on! I would highly recommend buying the ready-2-go bundle to anyone wanting to get into backpacking!

Honestly wasn’t too sure what to expect.. but this bundle is great. I was new to backpacking, and this bag has had everything that I have needed and more. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Everything that is needed for backpacking camping. I only need to add food, clothes, and water.

I set out last year to find a new quality backpack, tent, and sleeping bag for my kids as our scout troop is going to shift focus from car camping to backpacking in the coming months. Recently retired from the Army with experience in Scouting, I had a fair collection of gear - but much of it was starting to wear out and I needed a fresh start myself. Focusing on mid-range backpacking gear, I had narrowed it down to about $1000-1200 for each of us - until I saw an advertisement for The Dean and thought immediately it was a brilliant idea (everything has a place, and it is all easily accessible). Then I saw the bundle.

I looked at the individual components and tried searching for some testimonials from others; though there wasn't a lot out there, what I could observe online seemed like good quality - and the deal was impossible to beat. I was able to upgrade and remove items to make sure each of us got exactly what we needed and purchased three bundles for Christmas. Scott and his company were exceptionally responsive, went out of their way to make sure we were happy with everything, and quickly resolved the issue when I found one of the small divider flaps missing on the inside of one of the backpacks. The boys were excited with each new piece they unwrapped and packed away, and everything had been set up at least twice inside the house before we took them camping.

Our first camping trip began with a steady moderate rain for several hours followed by a storm with wind gusting to 40 miles per hour. Over the weekend, the temperature dropped into the 20's (F) and finished with snow. Through it all, the tent performed admirably, keeping me and my items warm and dry. In fact, everything performed as well or better than I expected - especially considering the weight and volume. My initial observations are that this entire bundle is an exceptional value, and I spent much of that camp letting others see how well things are put together and recommending NearZero to them. This is precisely the quality of gear I would recommend for any Scout, and the bundle and other support to Scouts from Near Zero helps keep a Scout Thrifty.

I got to test this pack at an event over the summer and was impressed by the overall system design and how well thought-out it was. I'm actually kind of surprised more companies haven't offered something like this for folks that don't want to buy ~25 different items just to go backpacking. I kind of expected a few items where corners were cut, but everything from the stove to the pad and sleeping bag were great all-around choices.

I used this system when I traveled to Arizona for a backpacking trip. Has everything you need and the components are high quality. The tent was light and easy to assemble (even in the dark); the sleeping bag was super light and warm, and the pad was comfortable and had good insulation. I would buy these even as separate items. If I were a guide, I would have these for clients, for sure. Also great for getting into backpacking. Everything is here, it is all good, and you don't have to scour the internet and watch YouTube videos to find the best of every component. Just grab and go.

I got to use this pack on a climbing trip. It was well laid out and had everything I needed besides my clothes. I liked how everything is labeled and fit in its place. The equipment was high quality as well! Great porduct.

This backpacking bundle is great for first time backpackers or those who don’t want to spend the money piecing out individual gear! The Quilt One is perfect for summer pack packing and the two person tent is plenty of room to store year gear in. The pockets make organization easy and limits the chances of forgetting a necessary item. Super excited about this pack!

Everything is extremely lightweight! No more 40+lbs packs!

We bought the bundled pack for my sister as a gift. She lives by herself and has always carried items in the trunk of her car in case there was ever an emergency she could just leave and not need to worry about collecting everything on her way out the door. This backpack was something she was missing.

She opened the kit and was amazed at how lightweight everything was and how it all fit in the backpack, yet it was something that she could carry. She has room to put her dog's supplies in it as well. PLUS - it did not take up that much room in her trunk. She has thanked us over and over for the backpack!
