too early to review properly, however so far very comfortable, good nights sleep. It took around 7 times to blow up as directed, so we are ordering the rechargeable pump
incredibly easy to inflate, and extrememly comfortable throughout the night, never leaked any air and was nice and firm for a great nights sleep
I searched for a light insulated replacement pad as my fellow backpackers were quite vocal about the potato chip sounds coming from my current insulated pad. I looked at a lot of the high end pads in person and read the reviews, and many of the much more expensive pads had numerous comments about slow leaks, multiple patches, and in general the lack of durability of their pad. A common thread in the reviews which were unhappy with their more expensive pads seemed to be the use of recycled plastics, which makes me wonder if that was the reason they failed so quickly. Some of the very recent reviews I saw talked about their pad leaking the first time it was used, and others already had 5 or 6 patches on a single pad! I found the Near Zero website on line, and used their insulated pad backpacking last weekend for the first time. I got the wide regular, as I have found the regular 20 inch size in other pads is just too narrow for me. No leaks, very comfortable, and it seems far more durable than the other pads I examined in person at various camping stores. Packs up small and lightweight. And by the way, very quiet. A very good choice at a more than competitive price.
